Playing and Learning together resources

[ 22 May 2008]

Parents as partners in Early learning (PPEL) resources that have been made available from National Strategies to support practitioners and early years settings "spread the word" to parents about their vital role in learning with their children.

The DVD is an excellent resource and is also now available in 20 community languages.  The height charts are designed to give out to parents and children and have the EYFS "design" so that parents will become familiar with the EYFS before children go into school.

The DVD can be shown in total, or as separate "episodes" that are: -

  • Talking, listening, learning
  • Learning with dad
  • Places to go
  • Parents talk
  • Where can I find out more

and could be shown at any groups that you are running for parents, as a "backdrop" in libraries, children centres, local community centres, health clinics, parents evenings at schools etc.

If you would like to have a DVD or some height charts to share in your setting or with parents please contact Jane Moffat. PPEL co-ordinator on 024 7683 2345.
