Top Tip for Christmas:A book is a gift for life

An Early Years Practitioner suggests
- Choose a quiet time and a comfortable place
- Choose a short, familiar story to begin with
- Use books with colourful pictures and only a little text to start with
- Encourage your child to join in by using books with popups or flaps
- Be prepared to end the story when they lose interest
