November`s Top Tip: Expanding and Modelling Language!
[ 10 Nov 2008]You can help develop your child`s language by scaffolding it. This means modelling for them the next step you would like them to achieve.
For example.....
if your child says 'brrrrruumm' or 'meeoww' you say 'car' or 'cat'
if your child says 'car' or 'cat' you can say 'mummy`s car' or 'big cat'
In summary, remember to add a word to what your child has just said!
